Big Sunday:
The Conejo/West Valley Big Sunday Hub will be taking place in conjunction with the 5th annual Triunfo YMCA Soap Box Derby/Healthy Kids Day. Big Sunday is an opportunity for everyone in the community to pitch in and do something positive to help others. We will be collecting:

* Food (non-perishable items and back yard fruit)
* Clothing of any type, including business attire
* Shoes of any type, especially for kids
* School supplies, including back packs
* Baby items such as diapers, sealed baby food/formula, wipes, and toys
* Cooking/kitchen items like bowls, pots, plates, silverware, etc.

Healthy Kids Day: The Triunfo YMCA is proud to sponsor its fourth annual Healthy Kids? Day event. Healthy Kids Day is a 20 year-old initiative hosted by local YMCAs throughout North America. The emphasis of the event is advocacy for healthy kids in local communities. Participating organizations will be local service providers who support better health for children and/or can offer healthy activities in which they can be involved. Organizations are either invited by the YMCA to be a part of Healthy Kids Day or are aware of the importance of the event and ask to participate. Physicians, dance and gymnastics studios, youth sports organizations and martial arts centers are a few examples of those types of businesses. During the event, these vendors demonstrate, provide information and distribute sample wares.

NASCAR Race Team: Tim Huddleston’s High Point Racing will bring a NASCAR trailer (a semi-truck) with Limited Late Model NASCAR race cars to show off and answer questions about. Jessica Clark, a Westlake Village resident and high school junior, will be on hand with her Limited Late Model NASCAR and Midget car. Interested in racing? Come and talk to these drivers and their teams.

DJ and Music: Through the generosity of Joe Hecht and Time of Your Life, we’ll have great music, dancing, games and more.

Community Car Show: This year’s event again includes a car show that area residents, clubs, and enthusiasts can partake in. To take part, please register with the below information for EACH CAR you plan to bring. Please do so as far in advance as possible. We’ll contact you with information about the car show, and the event in general. Space is limited. Based on past years, the car show will have at least 30 cars, and this year, likely more.

Community BBQ by Boy Scout Troop 485: Boy Scout Troop 485 will be cooking burgers and more to feed attendees at the event. Proceeds go to support Boy Scout activities for the troop.

Bouncers, Rock Wall and More: Sponsored by the City of Agoura Hills, the Rock Wall will once again be available for kids and adults alike to challenge themselves. Who can make it to the top? Bouncers, obstacle course, and more is just another way that the event provides fun for the family.

The LA County Sheriff will be on hand with the “crash trailer” and drunk driving goggles showing the dangers of drinking and driving in a fun and educational way. If not on call, the Sheriff will also have a squad car on hand for attendees to check out, ask questions about and more.

The LA County Fire Department will also, if not on call, be on hand with a Fire Engine for attendees to check out, ask questions about and more.
