Sheriff?s detectives to seek hate crime enhancement in Calabasas High School vandalism

The Malibu/ Lost Hills Sheriff?s Station continues its investigation of the criminal vandalism of Calabasas High School. The three (3) juvenile subjects identified on April 26th were arrested on Wednesday, April 27th.

Sheriff?s investigators intend to present their investigative reports to the Los Angeles County District Attorney?s Office of Juvenile Court on Tuesday, May 3rd.

The repairs to the school have been completed. The costs exceed $6,000.00.

Based upon all the information available to sheriff?s investigators, the allegations that will be presented to the District Attorney?s Office for filing consideration are: felony vandalism (CA Penal Code section 594(b)(1), coupled with the hate crime enhancement described in Penal Code section 422.75 PC.
