The City of Westlake Village made the announcement today about the upcoming City Celebration. This year, the event is actually five events in one. And new to this year’s event, is that the event is created by a number of volunteers, from a number of community groups. See the full official text below for the details.

Westlake Village City Celebration
Offers A Day’s Event For The Entire Family

The 5th Annual Westlake Village City Celebration is scheduled for Sunday, October 28 from 7am-3:30pm. This event celebrates the people, families, and organizations that make the City of Westlake Village special. The City Celebration features five events in one.

Pancake Breakfast

Kick off City Celebration with a hearty breakfast hosted jointly by the Triunfo YMCA and the Optimist Club. The all-you-can-eat breakfast features pancakes, sausage, and orange juice for $4 per person. The pancake breakfast starts at 7am and is open until 10am.

White Oak PFC Fun Fair

Join your friends and neighbors in supporting White Oak Elementary School at the White Oak PFC Fun Fair. The Fun Fair will feature all of your favorite inflatable games, train ride and a rock climbing wall. In addition, there will be plenty of game booths to test your skills on and win some great prizes. New this year to the Fun Fair is a mechanical bull and a robo-surfer. The Fun Fair opens at 8am and runs until 3pm.

5 and 10 K Pumpkin Runs
Mayor’s 1 Mile Healthy Walk Challenge

For runners and walkers the City Celebration is the home of the Thousand Oaks/Westlake Village Chamber of Commerce Pumpkin Runs. The Pumpkin Runs features a 5K, 10K and 1 mile fun run/walk course. All three courses start and finish at the City Celebration headquarters. Join the Westlake Village Mayor in the Mayor’s Healthy Walk Challenge 1 mile course. All runners will receive a free pancake breakfast and Fun Fair ride ticket.

YMCA Haunted House

Back this year to help get you in the Halloween spirit is the Triunfo YMCA Haunted House, designed and hosted by the YMCA Teen Program, Youth and Government. This “G” rated Haunted House will help support YMCA teen programs. The Haunted House will be located in the Westlake Village Community Room.

Magic Show

The Friends of the Westlake Village Library will be sponsoring a free Halloween theme magic show at 3:00 pm. The show will be held in the City Council Chambers.
