This morning around 7am, LA County Sheriff received a call from a fisherman at Westlake Lake that a male (caucasian) in his 70’s was floating in the water near the boat docks. The Sheriff responded, and the coroner removed the body. There’s no trauma nor foul play suspected. The belief is that the man had a medical emergency (such as a heart attack or stroke) and then fell into the water.
A helicopter happened to be nearby on its way to a training event, heard the call, and flew over the lake to take a look at the situation, and then continued to its original destination.
