Did you miss the “all call” from the City of Westlake Village today? If so, here’s the full text of the message. Take note of the date, and street closures which will affect Westlake Village residents.

“Hello, this is Ray Taylor, City Manager of the City of Westlake Village. I am calling to provide information on the May 23 Amgen Tour of California Professional Cycling Race that will occur throughout the Conejo Valley Region.

The race will enter Westlake Village at the corner of Townsgate Road and Lakeview Canyon Road near the Westlake Golf Course at approximately 1:00 pm. From there the race will proceed to Agoura Road on its way into the City of Agoura Hills. This route through the City of Westlake Village will occur four times ending at approximately 4:00 pm.

Please note that westbound Agoura Road (toward Thousand Oaks) and Lakeview Canyon Road north of Agoura Road will be closed during the race from approximately 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. All other roads within the City of Westlake Village will remain open during the race; however, several roads adjacent to the race route will be subject to a 10-15 minute rolling closure as the race comes through town.

City staff and its partner agencies from law enforcement have been working for the past nine months to minimize traffic impacts and to ensure the safety of residents and spectators alike. I hope you are able to come out and witness these world class athletes and help showcase our beautiful community to a world wide audience. For more information on the Amgen Tour of California, please contact City Hall at 818-706-1613 or visit the race website at http://www.amgentourconejo.org. Thank you.”
