Synopsis

The Las Virgenes Unified School District has put out an online survey for parents to give feedback to the district. They’ve just put out the below announcement as a “last call” for the survey.

If you have kids in school, you should take a few minutes to complete the survey if you’ve not done so already.

Make sure to use the free form text at the end to give any feedback not asked, including feedback on the survey itself, so that the district can better get feedback from you in the future.

You can access the survey on the http://www.lvusd.org/ home page, or directly by going to this link: http://www.lvusd.k12.ca.us/webapps/portal/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=85&Itemid=30.

LVUSD Announcement

Here’s the announcement from the district:

“LAST CHANCE FOR PARTICIPATION IN SCHOOL DISTRICT PARENT SURVEY

The Las Virgenes Unified School District’s first ever on-line parent survey will come to a close on Monday, June 2, 2008. Available through the District’s home page or in hard copy from the School District Office or any school site, the survey enables parents to provide input on activities at each educational level. â??We are fortunate to live in a community which supports education and has high expectations for the services we offer. It is important that we provide opportunities and access for parents to tell us where we are strong and where we can grow,â? stated School Superintendent Donald Zimring.

The survey instrument takes 10-15 minutes to complete and represents a collaborative effort from parent leadership from each of the schools, district administration, union leadership, as well as other high achieving school districts which routinely conduct parent surveys. Dr. Heidi Christensen from the Ventura County Office of Education’s Testing and Assessment Division created the on-line survey format that was reflective of the input that was received.

There are separate surveys addressing each of the three instructional levels – elementary, middle, and high school. Copies of the survey are also available in Spanish. For further information on participating in the survey, please contact the School District Office at (818) 880-4000 or go on-line to the District’s website – www.lvusd.org.”
