According to an article by Bloomberg today, Comcast plans to walk away from its proposed $45 billion takeover of Time Warner Cable, one of the primary Internet providers for Westlake Village, Agoura, and Calabasas. Reportedly, the FCC is “leaning toward concluding the merger doesn’t help consumer consumers.”

Bloomberg’s article continued “If the deal had gone through, the Comcast-Time Warner partnership would have created by far the largest cable operator in the U.S.” For Westlake Village residents, it means that Time Warner customers would have eventually become Comcast customers. According to a BGR article in December, “TWC and Comcast are the two most hated companies in America”
