Disclaimer: Westlake Revelations Founder Neil Ticktin is a scout leader, organizing the below event this weekend. Please encourage any 5th-8th grade boy (relatives, friends, neighbors), or any boy interested ages 10-17 to attend and find out more.
If you know a 5th through 8th Grade boy, this weekend, Westlake Village Boy Scout Troop 485 is holding an event this weekend specifically for those who are interested in scouting. No previous scouting or other experience necessary. Those attending the event will learn how to light a fire without matches, some first aid skills, engage in a boy-built chariot race, and challenge themselves in rock climbing. See more below in the enclosed flyer.
There’s no commitment to this troop, or even scouting. It’s intended as a way for boys to see what scouting is about, and parents, grandparents, and others to find out more about the program.
The event is from 3:30-5:30pm, tomorrow (Saturday November 16th) at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 32111 Watergate Road, Westlake Village, CA 91361.
