Synopsis
The City of Westlake Village has announced today that the next phase of the 101 Freeway/Lindero Canyon Road interchange project will begin in late January. They are targeting a phase completion date of the end of summer, 2011. Traffic will continue to be open throughout the project, although drivers should expect minor delays at times.

NEXT PHASE OF THE 101 FREEWAY – LINDERO CANYON ROAD INTERCHANGE PROJECT IN WESTLAKE VILLAGE TO BEGIN IN LATE JANUARY
Construction of the next phase of the ongoing 101 Freeway – Lindero Canyon Road interchange project is scheduled to begin in late January. This phase will include widening and median modifications at the Lindero Canyon Road ? Agoura Road intersection to provide an additional westbound right turn lane, an additional eastbound left turn lane, and a southbound right turn lane. The project will also include various traffic signal modifications, including the addition of video detection, which provides improved detection of cyclists.
It is expected that all streets will remain open during construction and traffic control devices will be in place. Motorists are asked to drive carefully and expect minor delays. Project notification signs will be posted as the construction date approaches. It is anticipated that work will be completed by the end of summer, 2011.
This construction is part of a multi-phase project in and around the 101 Freeway – Lindero Canyon Road interchange in Westlake Village. Previous work included the widening of the Lindero Canyon Road northbound direct on- ramp, extension of the northbound on-ramp auxiliary lane, and construction of a retaining wall along the on-ramp. Future work will include the addition oftravel lanes and aesthetic improvements to the Lindero Canyon Road overpass bridge.
