Dear Neighbors â??
Listening to your opinions and expectations, discussing concerns, and arriving at solutions togetherâ?¦ I love being your City Councilmember
My first 4 years on Westlake Village City Council have gone by with a flurry of activity. Your input and my guidance have played a role in helping the City realize:
â?¢ beautiful streetscape enhancements
â?¢ reduced fiscal debt
â?¢ more fun family events like our TGIF series
â?¢ new services such as E-waste pickup and Sunday library hours
â?¢ increased support of our public school (especially the technology programs)
â?¢ a new partnership to improve cell reception in our city
â?¢ established a public art program
â?¢ looked to our future and defined goals with the 2015 committee
â?¢ better communications with our residentsâ?¦to name just a few!
Currently I have initiated and council is working on:
â?¢ A review of pedestrian and bicycle safety
â?¢ Studies on how to enhance street lighting and
â?¢ And importantly with Mayor Sue McSweeney, focusing on healthy city* issues and initiatives for our wonderful city.
Looking forward and listening to you has helped me shape the following priorities:
â?¢ Keeping a lid on traffic
â?¢ Expanded park development
â?¢ Increasing bicycle and pedestrian trails and safety
â?¢ More recreational opportunities for our youth like a skateboard park
â?¢ Continued enhancement of all our roadways
â?¢ Keeping our home values strong
â?¢ Fostering cooperation between our neighboring cities to strengthen our greater community
Serving as your elected councilmember has truly been rewarding. I have maintained the same level of passion and commitment since 1989 when my husband Karl and I moved here. I would like to continue as your Councilmember for the next 4 years. Together we can keep enhancing this lovely village we call home.

Throughout my first term in office, I am proud that my leadership style and strong community involvement have benefited Westlake Village and its citizens. My guidance has played a role in helping the city realize major streetscape enhancements, reduced fiscal debt, more family events, new services such as E-waste pickup and Sunday library hours, increased support of our public schools, better communications with our residents along with a growing sense of community.
Together we have accomplished a lot and together we have more to do. I am asking for your vote and support for the next four years.
