Fatal Traffic Accident on Westlake Blvd.

Synopsis

As many Westlake Revelations readers reported, police were investigating for several hours a major traffic accident on Westlake Blvd, South of Triunfo on Saturday afternoon. Specifically, Christian Eitelbach’s motorcycle collided with the passenger door of Cindy Nah’s car as she was turning left onto Bay Drive. Shortly after arrival at the hospital, Eitelbach was pronounced deceased due to injuries he sustained during the collision. Nah was treated for minor injuries.

Narrative from City of Thousand Oaks Police Department

The Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Traffic Bureau is investigating a fatal traffic collision that occurred at the intersection of Westlake Boulevard and Bay Drive. Christian Eitelbach was riding his motorcycle northbound on Westlake Boulevard approaching the intersection at Bay Drive. Cindy Nah was driving her car southbound on Westlake Boulevard attempting to make a left turn onto Bay Drive. As Nah was making her left turn, Eitelbach entered the intersection and collided into the passenger side of Nah’s car.

Eitelbach and Nah were both treated at the scene, and then transported by ambulance to Los Robles Hospital. Shortly after arrival at the hospital, Eitelbach was pronounced deceased due to injuries he sustained during the collision. Nah was treated for minor injuries.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated. Witnesses also reported that another motorcycle rider was traveling northbound on Westlake Boulevard in the area of the collision and may have witnessed this collision.
