LVUSD: Your chance to voice opinions, and understand the budget for the local schools
In the next couple of weeks, there are two opportunities to get information from the leaders of the Las Virgenes School District, or ask a question, voice a suggestion, or more.
The first of these opportunities is the next LVUSD Board of Education meeting. It is tomorrow, Tuesday February 26th, at 6pm. This meeting will also serve as a kind of “budget study session” open to the community. Anyone is welcome to attend. It will take place at the LVUSD District Office, 4111 North Las Virgenes Road, Calabasas, CA 91302.
If you have thoughts, concerns, or questions about things other than the budget crisis, the second opportunity is to attend one of Dr. Zimring’s Superintendent’s Forum. While typically Dr. Zimring has a short presentation to tell people about the current state of affairs, the forum is generally unstructured so that parents (or anyone in the public for that matter) can ask questions directly to the superintendent. This is an excellent time to be heard, and to get answers from the head of LVUSD.
The next one will be held at Agoura High School on Monday, March 3rd from 7:30- 9:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in room A-1 which is located next to the main office.
